E 492 wattmetric relays

Multirange - 2 thresholds
- Direct insertion up to 7A
- For higher voltages, CT .../1A or ../5A is applied
- Second set point programmable as min or max set point.
DEFINITIONThe E 492 wattmetric relay receives information on the voltage (V) and on the current, calculates the cos φ value, therefore the following:
(ACTIVE POWER) w = 1.73 cos φ
USEAn
active power relay is typically used to check the active power absorbed by an electric motor which provides direct information on the load applied to that motor. Such information is more accurate than the one given by the current value. Actually, the cosφ variations can change the power values without affecting current values markedly.

W09 wattmetric relay with RS 485
Operating featuresW09 is mainly used for measuring and displaying active power.
Sp1 and Sp2 alarm set points can be set to values beyond which W09 will step in to trigger the alarm relay within a period of time corresponding to T1 and T2 respectively
When in self-learning mode, Sp1 and Sp2 will be set automatically
The device maintains the settings even power supply is turned off.
Technical data
Parameter settings- Using the Up/Down keys on the device front panel
- Using the Up/Down keys on the device front panel and automatically when in self-learning mode.
- Via RS485 using the software (W09-SUPERVISOR) coming with the device
This device can be connected to a PC through a special software (W09-SUPERVISOR) to store the values collected. These values are saved to files that can be easily processed by applications such as Excel and others.
Measures and displays on screen- Instantaneous W active power (in kW)
- IA1, IA2 (auxiliary 4-20mA inputs ) expressed in percentage (4mA=0% 20 mA=100%)
- Set up parameters (times and thresholds)
